You have worked all your life to share it with your loved ones. What
would happen to them if all of a sudden you were gone? How would they make it
without you?
I knew a family that thought they had it all. The wifes name was
Shelly the mans name is David. They were both young and loved one another more than
life itself. David thought he was too young to "waste" their money on health
insurance (a couple hundred dollars a month) so he never purchased it, he thought they were too
young to worry about such foolish things besides they had plans for their future. He
was starting a business and wanted to invest everything back into it so after a few years they
could travel, buy a couple nice cars and a beautiful home together, have 3 or 4 kids
etc. One day David went into the doctors office because he wasn't feeling so well. He was sent off for several tests (none of which were covered because he had no insurance)
and was diagnosed with kidney disease. Shelly was a perfect match, but how were
they going to pay for such an expensive operation? The hospital agreed to do the
transplant and allow the young couple to make payments which was great news. The surgery went well, both were recovering nicely. For all intensive purposes the
operation was a success. Remember, both were laid up healing because they went
through that surgery there was no money coming in the bills were pilling up, the bank was going
to foreclose on them if they didn't start making payments immediately, one day Shelly just
couldn't take sitting around the house worrying about everything anymore she decided to walk to
her friends house to see if she could lend them some money. She wrote David a short
note being as quiet as possible in her haste she forgot to tell him she loved him. As soon as she stepped out their front door a man mugged her stabbed her in her one good kidney she had left.
